On high-speed lines the final treatment of the ballast surface with the sweeper unit is particularly important. Apart from sweeping the sleepers with a specially equipped sweeper brush, our machines can also sweep the ballast in the sleeper cribs. After this process, the upper ballast stones are located below top of sleeper. This prevents any ballast stones from swirling up when traffic passes at high speed.
