Excavating blades on the ballast bed shoulder

Expose the sleeper ends for more working space.

Ballast excavating unit

The excavating chain is used to create a perfect ballast formation for laying new sleepers. Supplemented with cross conveyor belts, it can also handle large quantities of ballast. This ballast excavating unit can also be used to work in the platform area, in boxed-in beds, or to lower the new track compared to the old track geometry.

Dust reducing system

To reduce the amount of dust stirred up as much as possible, fine misting nozzles are strategically placed near sources of dust, such as the ballast excavating unit.

Ballast deflector unit

Prevents milled ballast stored on the side from entering the construction gap until the new sleeper is laid.
